Altoranza 2010 “Quality does have a price”

Written the July 20, 2011 by jlbecerra | Category: General, Score: 3, Red wine

Altoranza 2010Name: Altoranza 2010

Price: 2,69 € at Aldi supermarket

Origin: D.O. Jumilla

Winery: Luzon

Score: low 3

What a disappointment! Its presentation (label, bottle and cork), its origin, its grape, its winery and the winery’s claim (“The highest quality at the lowest price”) were promising. But then I began the tasting and the magic was over. And the price is definitely not an excuse. This wine is excessively herbaceous, with tones of low-quality fruits. Do not savour it or it will become unpleasant. Drink it, swallow it and forget it.

Calidad y precio indudablemente aconsejable.

Bad wine exist everywhere, we

only have to know where they

are so that we can avoid them

BAD WINE: A wine that, at a specific moment or after tasting a particular vintage, makes me wish not to buy it again, because of its quality, its faults or the fact that its price is excessively high if compared to other wines in the market.
